I don't recognise the shield ... but it is English.

This looks like a perfectly ordinary tie ... except for two things....
1 it has a small Newcastle United logo at the bottom corner
2 it is a clip on!

I would not normally wear anything in support of Newcastle United however after this weekend's humiliating home defeat 6 - 0 (six - nil) to Liverpool, which is their worse home defeat for almost 100 years, and the fact that it followed on from a 3 - 0 home defeat by local rivals Sunderland I feel their supporters need as much sympathy as they can get.

At least Newcastle supporters did not riot this weekend 

or feel the need to go out and  punch a police horse.
